Choosing the Right Bin Size

Whether you are doing a small spring clean up or a major home renovation, Need A Bin has a bin for your project. Our bins come in 5, 7, 10, 14 and 20 yards and each are ideal for different types of jobs. If you are still not sure which bin size is right for you, give us a call. We are happy to help you make your decision, so that you are not stuck with too little or too much bin space.

5 Yard: 12 x 6 x 2 ft          7 Yard: 12 x 6 x 2.5 ft

The five and seven yard dumpsters are perfect to hold just soil, concrete or asphalt. It is also best for small jobs, which could be anything from cleaning out your one-car garage to clearing out your closets during a spring clean up. Perhaps you are doing a small renovation job such as redesigning a room or repairing your roof. These bins would be perfect.

10 yard: 12 x 7 x 4 ft

The ten yard dumpster is the most commonly requested bin, as it can serve almost any job. A mid-sized dumpster is likely a perfect fit if you are cleaning out a large garage or basement, remodeling your bathroom or kitchen, making a patio, installing a new roof, or removing your fence. It is also a great choice if you are doing a landscaping project or need to get rid of sod, weeds and tree stumps.

14 yard: 12 x 7.5 x 4.5 ft          20 yard: 14 x 8 x 5 ft

A fourteen or twenty yard dumpster is perfect if you are planning on doing any major home renovations and remodeling projects. A large bin is ideal if you are looking to add a whole new addition to your home. It would also be very useful for downsizing projects, such as clearing out old furniture, toys, and decades of belongings you no longer need.
